The Chamber of Digital Economy<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part of the landscape of Polish e-commerce since 2013.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chamber of Digital Economy, known as the e-Chamber, connects e-commerce entrepreneurs and looks after their interests. It also brings together financial and technology companies, digital agencies, law firms, and all other entities that support e-commerce.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was established to represent the interests of businesses operating in the area of e-commerce and promote the development of digital economy in Poland and beyond. The e-Chamber is an organisation representing the interests of small, medium-sized, and large enterprises. Here, every voice is equally important and relevant, regardless of the needs of whom it belongs to.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, we celebrate our 10th anniversary. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What areas do we operate in?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Legislation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our activities focus on several core areas. Firstly, as a chamber of commerce, we focus on the legislative processes that organise the country\u2019s economic life. In our case, we are concerned with representing and promoting the vital interests of businesses operating in the e-commerce market. We achieve this aim by maintaining substantive professional relationships with state authorities, regulators, and international organisations. As a member of Ecommerce Europe \u2013 the organisation representing the interests of European e-commerce at the European Commission \u2013 we indirectly influence legislative action at the EC level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The whole of our activity aims to ensure that lawmaking is transparent and that new regulations are citizen-friendly. Regulations should always take into account the specificities of e-commerce and support the sector\u2019s development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secondly, we also spearhead legislative efforts to create a regulatory environment that is favourable to e-commerce. The best examples of this are our original study entitled \u201cThe Book on Bridging the Legislative Barriers in Digital Economy\u201d, <\/em>our participation in public consultations, our meetings with decision-makers, and the analyses and reports we keep publishing to increase the e-commerce awareness in public administration, business, and society as a whole. We are also the organiser of \u201cThe Dialogue between Businesses and Public Administration\u201d <\/em>initiative, dedicated to topics of legislative relevance to the e-commerce industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through these activities and several smaller, but no less important ones, our organisation has a tangible impact on the legislation in Poland and other parts of Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Education and networking<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another area of activity for the Chamber of Digital Economy is education. As part of \u201cThe School of Digital Economy\u201d (SDE), we organise seminars, conferences, workshops, and training courses whose aim is to educate entrepreneurs and consumers about e-commerce in its broadest sense as well as impart specialist knowledge on new trends, developing technologies, and regulations related to e-commerce, among other issues. The e-Chamber has been educating consumers since it was founded. As part of the SDE project, we also cater to senior citizens and the youngest market participants, with the latter group enjoying our \u201cJunior\u201d or \u201cDigital Owl\u201d classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an organisation that interacts so widely with its stakeholders, we are aware that education is fundamental to business growth and customers\u2019 and \u2013 generally \u2013 citizens\u2019 digital competencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this reason, we have for years been carrying out our educational mission also by publishing how-to materials and industry reports, i.e.: \u201cOmni Commerce \u2013 I Buy Conveniently\u201d, \u201cResponsible E-Commerce\u201d, \u201cB2B E-Commerce NOW\u201d, or reports analysing the current economic situation of the country and future directions for e-commerce. We also provide education through our \u201ce-Chamber Studio\u201d<\/em> podcast series and \u201ce-Chamber Digital Talks\u201d <\/em>business dialogue initiative.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, we enable entrepreneurs to establish relationships in the industry, exchange experiences, and work together. This is facilitated by frequent networking events that help to build relationships between companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are an organisation of digital leaders, but we are also active locally, supporting SMBs across Poland in their digital transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Support and competitions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We aim to improve the quality of Polish e-commerce and help increase confidence in the market strategically and systemically, also at the grassroots level. It was one of the fundamental guiding principles we had when founding the organisation, one that remains relevant. The idea is to allow a wide audience to learn about entities which, by their scale, scope, and achievements, best demonstrate the highest, world-class standard of Polish e-commerce. We promote technological innovation, an ethical approach to business, green standards, and every modern approach in the area of e-commerce. We support the development of new solutions that can increase businesses\u2019 efficiency and competitiveness. As the e-Chamber, we also work to set standards of quality and ethics in e-commerce, fostering an approach based on trust and accountability towards customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is worth knowing that the Chamber of Digital Economy also organises the following competitions: e-Commerce Poland Awards, e-Commerce Director of the Year, Performance Marketing Diamonds EU, <\/em>and Digital Quality Mark.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to become a member of the e-Chamber?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Companies operating in the following categories can join the Chamber of Digital Economy: retailers (B2C), e-commerce platforms (B2C, C2C, B2B), online payment platforms, services and IT solutions for e-commerce, e-services, digital content, logistics, and distribution. For an organisation to become a member of the e-Chamber, its executives should start by familiarising themselves with our Statutes. Then, it is important that the financial conditions be read and the membership declaration completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
